Application Integration Architecture

Oracle Application Integration Architecture provides business processes that bridge traditional operational silos, increasing cost effectiveness and decreasing cycle times. By providing customers with pre-built integrations and ongoing support and enhancements on these integrations, Oracle has reduced the time, complexity, and cost of implementing and deploying industry best practice processes that connects and optimise business operations.

Application Integration Architecture is powered by the industry leading Oracle's Fusion Middleware, a family of integrated, standards based, and customer proven products that enable you to incrementally adopt a service orientated architecture (SOA) with your existing Oracle, 3rd party, and legacy applications.

A key component of the Application Integration Architecture is Process Integration Packs. These are pre-built Oracle SOA integrations across Oracle ERP, CRM, and industry applications – enabling rapid implementation of a business process while reducing the cost and burden of integration.

These out-of-the box integrations leverage the core capabilities of the applications to enable front to back-office processes with best-of-breed functionality. Oracle currently have two Process Integration Packs integrating Siebel and Oracle E-Business Suite and are planning to deliver more in the near future. Also the future strategy is that Oracle ISV partners will use the Application Integration Architecture and SOA technologies to create pre-integrated packs that link their applications to those of Oracle.

The initial Process Integration Packs from Oracle are:

Oracle's Siebel CRM On Demand Integration Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite

Supports the opportunity-to-quote process and includes auto conversion of opportunities to quotes and quotes to orders

Oracle's Siebel CRM Integration Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite Order Management

Supports the order-to-cash process lifecycle, including capabilities for complex product configuration, inventory availability, automated order processing, price synchronization, and real time order status.
